Prototype 012 Update
TLDR: Cheaper to run! Slashed Claude Sonnet usage (it was painful) and optimized more calls so it costs less of your OpenRouter credits to play. Hooray! Also changed some characters' models so they should be less annoying. And, there is now a consent feature for the crewmembers to offer each other hugs or propose to get down.
Additions:
New Location on Starbase 000, Gluigi's Pizza - an AI run business with "technically edible" glue used to make the cheese extra sticky.
New Captain's Log feature - add and review your own logs
Character dress state text provided to LLMs: On-duty, off-duty, pajamas or nude depending on context
New Consent Request feature: Characters can request hugs and sex (if they have achieved enough relationship milestones)
Gravity Environment is now in the room text descriptions, hopefully will reduce nonsense about things floating around or "artificial gravity"
Window view descriptions correctly reflect the ship being docked at the station
Core knowledge added to "THINK" command (general, crew and species-specific)
Ricardo's enhanced smell receptors will get overwhelmed by his gross body funk if he doesn't take a damn shower
More language lore in the system prompt
Simpler and more clear Sentry information in the system prompt
API cost reductions:
Less API calls needed now for memory filtering in the response pipeline
Adjustments to the Sentry, Primary, Memory Filter and Drunk models to reduce cost (no more Claude Sonnet unless things fail spectacularly)
New Cheap, Fast Models added for small tasks.
Reduced prompt size & complexity for several prompts
New Cast:
Default cast changed -- Nemotron keeps asking unending, unanswerable questions that drive me mad. Flash 2 is doing a lot of the speech work for now, which bugs me but at the moment other models are either overloaded, too expensive or keep making up nonsense. More work & testing needed... Check the About box in the game for the current cast.
Fixes:
Removed Captain from character info
Fixed Set Current Orders for crewmembers
UI font code optimizations
Conversations since captain input: Much more intelligent about timeout and won't get stuck in a loop while still preventing infinite API credit drain if you fall asleep while running the simulation
Stopped showing random character at start of conversation, instead just the room is shown
Characters should stop walking into a room and continuing a conversation nobody started. Or at least, do it less often.
Removed duplicate Captain text from the output window
Characters now have prior speaker in their memory event when speaking
Reroll correctly rerolling actions bug fix
Hopefully less prompt-defying BS in the LLM item action commands
More clarity in relationship summary prompt to keep it between the two individuals in question and not random idiots in the room
Find Character by Name function improved, now searches on first word found in case of inevitable prompt-defying LLM garbage text after the name
Fixed battery level reporting for OTTO's LLMs
Fixed hygiene adjustment for showering -- small boost before conversation so they don't stink the whole time they're showering...
OTTO no longer has a need for physical touch, air, food or water
